Villa Mandalina is a large 5 bedroom villa with the most amazing views of Kalkan and its beautiful bay. It is located on a peaceful hillside with mountain backdrop. There are a handful of bars and shops within 200m.

Kalkan is a beautiful and fascinating Mediterranean town, that offers a good selection of small shops, seafront resturants and bars. There are traditional homes in the cobbled back streets, with trailing flowers adorning the wooden balconies.

Patara beach is 20 minutes and offers 18km of pure white sand and is home to the logger head turtle. An enjoyable stroll along the harbourside can be taken in the evening, where the restaurants offer excellent dining. Kalkan is a truly unspoilt place, which has much to offer as a holiday destination.

The villa is large and spacious with air-conditioning, which converts to heating in winter. On the top floor there is a double bedroom (a/c) and a twin (fan), both with sea views. A bathroom with bath and shower.

A large rooftop terrace has wonderful views of Kalkan Bay, the surrounding countryside and the famous Patara Beach. You can enjoy evening drinks here, in comfort, whilst watching the spectacular sunsets.

The middle floor has 2 good size rooms. A master bedroom with queen sized bed and a twin bedded room. Both have balconies with sea views and air-conditioning.

There is a large family bathroom with bath and shower.

A large open landing area overlooks the lounge and has wonderful views of the bay. The marble staircase leads you into the open plan lounge and dining area where the sliding patio doors lead to the poolside. We have satillite TV with a DVD player and also a CD/Radio. The kitchen has a washing- machine, larder fridge freezer, dishwasher and cooker, for your convenience.

A fifth bedroom is located on this ground floor level, with a single bed and fan. A shower room and wc are also on this floor.

Outside there is a large garden area with terraced flower beds and a good sized private pool that overlooks the wonderful bay. There is also a wonderful Turkish style Gazebo. A small BBQ is located in this corner of the garden.

A large marble dining table is also situated on the patio area for your enjoyment.

Local activities in and around Kalkan, Turquoise Coast/Lycia

There are may things to do in and around the Kalkan area, such as boat trips that take you around the bays and islands.

Visit the famous Patara beach with 20km of pure white sand, which is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. There are many ancient ruins to visit including the sunken city off Kekova island. Walks along the Lycian way and horse riding can be enjoyed where you can take in the breathtaking scenery at a more leisurely pace.

One particular favourite is the canoe trip down the Xanthos river and through the Patara national park with a BBQ for lunch. See the turtles along the river bank and swim in the river, great fun for all. There is the Saklikent gorge, the longest and deepest in Turkey. Walk along the canyon and marvel at the extraordinary limestone walls soaring high above you.

There is diving, paragliding, jeep safaris and many other excursions that make Kalkan a great holiday destination for all ages.

With lots of colourful local markets for shopping and boutiques tucked away in Kalkans back streets, open late into the evening. A truly unspoilt harbour town offering charm and beauty, along with quality restaurants and bars for those nights out!
